Classic romance, great music, incredible dancing, and stunning sets. The falling snow felt like a main character, though I do have concerns about the practicality of driving a convertible in a blizzard.

As a black and white photography hobbyist, I couldn't get over the exposure and contrast in the first big duet, "Waltz in Swing Time." His black tuxedo against her white dress is a perfect study in tonal range, and it may be my favorite thing about the movie.

The skyscraper cityscape on the dance floor in front of the band during the finale blew me away, as did that entire set.

Also, I need to be able to throw my hat and coat to the check without looking or taking a ticket.

And Ricky sure was a good sport at the end of the day.
